2007 study of select scholars programs and program administrators
This PowerPoint presentation summarizes the findings of several studies that led to the creation of USPAA. The first study focuses on the demographics, behaviors and attitudes of 35 students in the Clemson University National Scholars Program. This online survey was later replicated with 196 students in four additional programs at three other universities. The second study evaluated current scholars and scholarship program administrators interest in creating a new association and the particular challenges they face in these roles. Fifty administrators of 15 programs completed this study. This presentation was given at the April 2007 joint conference of the American College Personnel Association and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators in Orlando, Florida, and was sponsored by the Student Affairs and Academic Affairs Partnerships Group.
