USPAA welcomes you to share your expertise and submit program proposals for the 2014 Annual Conference. Please consider co-facilitating a session with another USPAA member. All topics are welcome. Sessions are designed to be 50 minutes in length.

Ideas for session topics include:
Recruitment -- Publicizing programs and reaching out to high school counselors, Designing applications and essay and interview questions, Training interviewers, Best practices during recruitment events (eg. Targeting parents), Use of social media, Finalists who didn’t make it – what can we do to keep them, Yield strategies
Fine-tuning elements of the scholarship program -- Leadership training, Civic engagement and volunteerism, Study abroad, Incorporating extracurricular activities and coursework (athletes, greek life, paid employment), Best programming moments, Staffing issues and needs
Dealing with current scholars -- Discipline and gpa requirements, Mental health issues, Health, safety and well-being, Developing policies and procedures
Working with other offices on/off campus -- Financial aid, Admissions, Development, International programming, Donors
Meetings for special groups – new administrators, administrators of new programs, programs in the same geographic region.
